Spotlight on Greenwich Township

Laura Enuco – Greenwich Township Education Association

Laura EnucoThe halls of Greenwich Township are alive with the sound of music because of Laura Enuco's passion and dedication to music education! She has been the Music teacher for all students at Broad Street Elementary and Nehaunsey Middle School for the past 22 years. She is also the Choir Director at both schools and the Handbell Choir Director at Nehaunsey. Each year, Laura’s choir groups perform holiday concerts and musicals that are well loved in our district and community. She also works with the 8th graders to create spectacular performances for their graduation ceremony. Laura was named Teacher of the Year in 2000, and in 1999, her choir was selected as a “featured choir” in the World’s Largest Concert.

For many years, Laura oversaw the GTEA’s Sunshine Club, which recognizes special events in staff members’ lives. She has also been a longtime member of the Social Committee, helping to organize various social outings throughout the school year, and particularly the End-of-the-Year party, which recognizes retirees and teachers of the year. Laura has also organized several New York City theater trips for our members.

Laura graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Music Education from Glassboro State College. She holds certifications in both Music Education K-12 and Elementary Education.

Laura enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as playing the Irish harp at weddings, parties, and other events. She loves attending music festivals and spending summers at Lake Ontario.

“I believe you are never too old to try new things. Keep on dreaming – be passionate about what you do. I am passionate about my music and I hope that my students will catch on to the idea that you can do what you love. Follow your dream!”
