First, THANK YOU GLOUCESTER COUNTY members and Region 2 Uni-Serv office for your support, your drive, and your commitment to public education and its employees at the June state-wide rally!! YOU ROCK, GLOUCESTER COUNTY!! “Change is in the air” is a phrase we can understand and is something we embraced in June because our legislators needed to change the direction they were headed. Thanks to all of you, we sent that message loud and clear. NJEA called us into action, we answered, and we changed things before they brought disastrous effects to our public schools. There will be another opportunity for change with our elected officials in November. |
For instance, we need a change in federal policy regarding the NCLBA. In order to be a part of the change, we need all of our members registered to vote. Folks, we have the power to change things. Talk with your colleagues and encourage all to be registered. Now is the time, Gloucester County. On another note, we have some changes with our presidents here in Gloucester County. Welcome to Michelle Fox, Harrison EA; Jackie Nessuno and Robert Johnson, Mantua EA; Greg Yordy, Logan EA; Mike Joyce, Gateway EA; Jill Scheetz, West Deptford EA; Christopher Yearicks and Karen Knaul, Westville EA; and John Sweeney, Franklin Twp. Support Staff Association; Aron Nahom, Gloucester County College. WELCOME aboard!! To our past presidents in those locals: Lisa Moffett, Harrison; Michelle Kivitt and Noreen McMillan, Mantua; David Hoh, Logan; Charles Lucas, Gateway, Linda Hassell, West Deptford; and Christine Wagner, Franklin Township Support; and Lalaji Deshbandhu, Gloucester County College, a HUGE THANK YOU for all of your work with our locals and our members. You have changed your local and left it a better place. Our hats are off to you! |
